Mrs. Reevie Kathryn Payne, age 81, of Montevallo, died Friday, March 19, 2010, at Bibb Medical Center Nursing Home. Memorial service will be held Saturday, March 27, 2010, at 2 p.m. with Rockco Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Barry Kornegay officiating.
She is survived by her husband, Doyle Payne of Montevallo; daughter, Debbie Wolfe (Anthony) of Centreville; sons, Don Payne of Montevallo and Gerry Payne (Mary Ann) of Winton-Salem, N.C.; sister, Vera Auerbach (Ralph) of Florida; brother, Hubert Creel (Barbara) of Centreville; four grandchildren, Dawn Elliott (Doug) of Brandenton, Fla., Chad Payne of Wilmington, N.C., Brain Wolfe (Hannah) of Calera and Leslie Seagle (John) of Centreville and five great grandchildren, Jacob and Andrew Payne of Wilmington, N.C., Ian and Evan Elliott of Bradenton, Fla. and James Wolfe of Calera.
She is preceded in death by her son, Marlon Payne and sister, Evelyn Armstrong.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Dementia Care Foundation at 69531 213th St. Darvin, MN 55324 to the Reevie Payne Memorial Fund (or to the American Heart Association.
