Calera High School senior Kristen Deering is one of 20 students to be awarded a scholarship from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. While at Calera, Kristen has been a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, CHS Eagle Band, majorette, dance teams and Spanish Honors Club. Kristen plans to pursue a degree in business management/marketing in the field of industrial distribution at the UAB School of Business.
