The Spain Park High School and Calera High School boys’ soccer teams each picked up a win in high school soccer action April 8.

Spain Park 7, Jackson-Olin 0

Jack O’Neil led the Jaguars (7-8-2, 5-6 in Class 6A, Section 5) with three goals and two assists.

Chris Wright scored two goals. Tyler Cook and Sam Holloway scored one goal each.

Ross Blaising added an assist. Spain Park goalkeeper Spencer Jack recorded two saves.

Calera 8, Holy Spirit 0

Nathan Langner led the Eagles (11-6, 2-2 in Class 4A-1A, Section 3) with three goals.

Henoko Lubala scored two goals. Christian Alverenga, Miguel Castanon and Luiz Guitierrez scored one goal each.

Alverenga led the Eagles with three assists. Erick Tinajero also had an assist.

Calera goalkeeper Jecsan Sanchez recorded six saves.
