Pelham girls’ golf team takes down Homewood

The Pelham high School girls’ golf team sealed a close 166-177 victory over Homewood April 12 in a match at Ballantrae Golf Club.

Ana Amoruso was the low medalist for Pelham with a nine-hole score of 51.

Emily Rames was next for the Panthers with a career-best 55.

“Emily Rames was the difference maker today,” said Pelham head coach Scott Blair. “It was pretty tight after the first group finished, but Emily’s 55 sealed the victory.”

Ana Beth Brewton was the low medalist for Homewood with a 51.

The Panthers will face Homewood two more times to close out the regular season with matches April 14 at Robert Trent Jones Oxmoor Valley and April 21 at Ballantrae.
