Former THS softball standout tosses first collegiate no-hitter

Former Thompson High School standout pitcher Katlin White threw her first collegiate no-hitter April 12 as the Martin Methodist College RedHawks defeated Lambuth University, 3-0.
White, an MMC freshman that graduated from THS in 2009, struck out 12 batters in the 3-0 victory.
White also recorded her 200th strikeout over the weekend in a sweep over Lyon College.
White had nine strikeouts in game one of the series, and her record now stands at 18-4.
Her 1.20 ERA is the best in the TranSouth Athletic Conference, and her 219 strikeouts are second in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics.
