Three Westminster athletes qualify for state tennis tournament
Three athletes from the Westminster School at Oak Mountain qualified for the Alabama High School Athletic Association 3A-1A state tennis tournament after capturing section tennis titles April 21 at Bowers Park in Tuscaloosa.
Westminster won the No. 6 singles’ and No. 1 doubles’ championships.
The Knights’ Tal Lovvorn captured the No. 6 singles’ title at the Class 3A-1A section tournament.
Richard Robey and Koleman Nix teamed up to win the No. 1 doubles’ section championship.
The Westminster athletes will travel to the Class 3A-1A state tournament April 26-27 at Lagoon Park in Montgomery.
