Troy Wolkow from the Birmingham Regional Office for State Farm Insurance Companies presented the Shelby County Library Foundation and several other organizations with a donation of $1,000 earlier this year. The library system has used this generous donation as a part of its Alabama’s Big Read Project. With funds received the libraries have purchased several age appropriate books for all of Shelby County School Media Centers. Over the past few weeks, local area State Farm agents have assisted in the delivery of books to all of the middle schools throughout the county.
