Train collides with Alabaster Police car near Shady Acres Lane in Alabaster
A train collided with an Alabaster Police car near Shady Acres Road in Alabaster Thursday, May 6 at approximately 10:30 a.m.
The police car was sitting in between a set of tracks near the intersection of U.S. 31 and Old Highway 31 while monitoring traffic when it was struck by a CSX train.
The car was reportedly totaled, and officer John Miller suffered minor injuries. Miller was transported to Shelby Baptist Medical Center, where he was treated and released.
