Alex Nelson is the recipient of a four-year University of Alabama at Birmingham collegiate honors scholarship valued up to $12,000.

He is the son of Ralph and Cindy Nelson. Nelson is a senior at Evangel Christian School where he’s a member of the High School Nursing Scholars Program and Eagle Scouts. At UAB, he will major in nursing.
