BOE approves new Shelby Elementary principal
The Board of Education approved a new principal for Shelby Elementary at the May 20 regular meeting.
Stacy Aderholt, currently the administrative assistant at Shelby Elementary, was unanimously approved as the new principal, as the room burst into applause.
Aderholt addressed the board, saying she plans to work hard for the school system and the community.
“I’m very excited. I know it’s a great responsibility,” she said. “I’m looking forward to be working with you guys and the students, faculty and staff.”
Aderholt, who has more than nine years of experience in education, has a bachelor’s degree in early childhood and elementary education from the University of Montevallo. She also has a master’s degree and an education specialist degree in educational administration from UAB.
