Charles R. “Chuck” Bedwell, Jr., age 53, a resident of Chelsea, passed away on Monday, May 31, 2010. Funeral service was at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 3, 2010, at Chelsea Community Church, with Bro. Greg Davis and Bro. Rob Richey officiating. Burial was Friday at 10:30 a.m. in K-Springs Cemetery. Visitation was Thursday, June 3, 2010, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Chelsea Community Church.
Chuck was a homebuilder for 29 years in the Anniston and Birmingham area. He enjoyed classic cars, pontoon rides on Lake Martin, motorcycles and time with his family and friends. He fought a very courageous battle with a brain tumor for 13 years and was a walking miracle. He was an active member of the biker’s class of Brookhills and Chelsea Community Church.
Mr. Bedwell is survived by his wife, Carmen Bedwell; daughter, Crystal Langford (Les); grandson, Carson Langford; mother, Joene McKee; father, Charles R. Bedwell, Sr. (Mavis); brother, Steve Bedwell (Terri); sisters, Susan Roszell (Arlan), Lynda Cowden (Dan) and a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
