Magnolia Meadows Golf Course has a new owner.

Columbiana’s Tim Wilson of Wilson’s Auto Body and Paint Shop completed the purchase of the 18-hole course about two weeks ago from previous owner M&F Bank.

Wilson said he plans to continue operating it as a golf course. He is in the process now of grooming the course and getting it in top condition, he said.

Columbiana Mayor Allan Lowe said Wilson’s purchase of the course means good things for Columbiana community.

“Tim has a reputation of being a successful business man and is very involved in and supportive of the community,” he said. “I have every reason to believe he will be successful in his management of this golf course. He is a great asset to our city and our community.”

Lowe said, in addition to operating the golf course, Wilson hopes to make the clubhouse available for hosting public and private events.
