Inverness golf pro wins Dixie PGA event
Inverness Country Club Director of Golf Troy Raybon captured the Dixie PGA Club Car series’ Cleveland/Srixon stroke play tournament June 14 at the Montgomery Country Club.
Raybon finished with five birdies and an eagle as he fired a 4-under par 66 to win the championship. Raybon took home $1,200 in earnings following the victory.
Raybon, who won the Dixie PGA Professional Championship in 2008, won a playoff against Pope Spruiell to capture the title.
Greystone Country Club’s Brian Speakman finished tied for 13th overall after carding a 1-over par 71.
The tournament was the fifth event of the Dixie PGA’s Club Car series.
