Power out for 3,400 residents
An Alabama Power meter is not working correctly, causing 3,400 residents in Alabaster, Helena and Pelham to be without power.
Power has been out in the area since about 3 p.m. June 26.
An Alabama Power representative said the company expects power to come back on by 8:15 p.m. or sooner.
Also, a traffic light is out close to the Pelham Home Depot on U.S. 31. When a traffic light is not working, it becomes a four-way stop.
