Four Montevallo families were displaced following a July 16 fire at an apartment complex off Overland Road.

The Montevallo Fire Department responded to a blaze at the Town and Country apartment complex on Town Lane shortly before 9 p.m.

The fire engulfed a four-unit apartment building, and displaced the four families living in the units, said Jonathan Danzer with the Montevallo Fire Department.

Although the four units were occupied, nobody was injured in the blaze.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire shortly after arriving on the scene, but the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
