Pelham police arrested a pair of Hoover men following a July 22 armed robbery of a local hotel.
Shortly after midnight, police responded to an armed robbery call at the Travelodge at 410 Oak Mountain Circle off Alabama 119.
After investigating the crime, police learned the two suspects had rented a room at the nearby Ramada Inn at 113 Cahaba Valley Parkway in Pelham.
Pelham Police Tactical Operations officers then traveled to the suspects’ hotel and arrested 19-year-old Taylor Haggins and 20-year-old Joshua David Willingham, both of Hoover.
Officers also took a third suspect into custody following the hotel raid, but later released the suspect after they discovered he did not take part in the robbery, according to a Pelham Police Department press release.
Police charged Haggins and Willingham with one count of first-degree robbery each after the two suspects confessed to the crime, the release read.
As of July 22, Haggins and Willingham were being held in the Shelby County Jail on a $60,000 bond each.
