A Maylene resident recently earned perfect marks at the University of Southern Mississippi.

The university, in Hattiesburg, Miss., recently named Maylene resident Sidney Lynn McClendon to its President’s List for the 2010 spring semester.

The President’s List includes only the students who earned a perfect 4.0 grade point average.
