Jimmie Douglas Livingston, age 78 of Childersburg, passed away on Sept. 24, 2010 at his place of residence. He loved the Lord. His hobbies included fishing and woodworking and was an avid ‘Bama fan. He enjoyed telling jokes and loved to watch the Gaithers on television.

Visitation was held on Sunday, Sept. 26 from 5:30-8 p.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home, Childersburg Chapel. Funeral services were held 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 27 at Curtis and Son Funeral Home, Childersburg Chapel. Burial followed at Greenhill Cemetery. Rev. Charles People and Rev. Kevin White officiated.

Mr. Livingston is survived by his wife, Joyce Livingston; sons, David Livingston (Donna) of Childersburg and Larry Livingston (Linda) of Columbiana; daughters, Kathy Trotman (Jackie) of Childersburg, Donna Boothe (Marty) of Childersburg and Terry Wilcox (Chris) of Waycross, Ga.; sister, Louise Hammitt of Bessemer; 14 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers included, Stephen Trotman, Kevin Trotman, Blake Mooney, Daniel Latta, Chris Wilcox and Jason Armstrong.
