Kingwood Christian School quarterback Kevin Woody rushed for two touchdowns and threw two touchdown passes to lead the Lions to a 42-12 win Oct. 1 over Hooper Academy.

Woody scored on touchdown runs of 8 yards and 2 yards in the first half. Woody threw touchdown passes of 30 yards and 70 yards to senior running back Tyrone Pope in the victory.

Ethan Wicks added a 1-yard touchdown run and Douglas Ledlow caught a 2-point conversion from Woody in the win.

Pope rushed for 127 yards and two scores. Woody rushed for 118 yards and two scores and passes for 116 yards.

Ledlow led the Lions (5-2 overall, 2-2 in AISA Class 3A, Region 2) with eight tackles.
