Ruby Walton Harper, age 82 of Cullman, passed away on Oct. 4, 2010 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Harper was born Dec. 24, 1927. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Harper is predeceased by her parents, Albert C. and Gladys Gill Walton; husband, Robert “R.Q” Harper; brothers, Morris Walton and James Walton; and son, David F. Harper. Mrs. Harper is survived by brother, Emery (Llewellyn) Walton; sister, Barbara Walton (Bill) Cutler; grandson, Robert David Harper; one great-grandson; special devoted friends, Sheila Burks, Sherrie Hunter and Louis Keeton; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, Oct. 8 at 2 p.m. at Fairview United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Harper will lie in state at the church from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8. Bros. Mike Butler and Kenneth Weldon will officiate. There will be no viewing or visitation at the funeral home. Funeral services are under the direction of Moss-Service Funeral Home.
