Brynleigh Makya Welch, age 9, a resident of Columbiana, passed away Friday, Oct. 1, 2010 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be at noon, Saturday, Oct. 9 at Columbiana United Methodist Church, with Pastor Mike Satterfield officiating. Burial will follow at Wilsonville Community Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 8, from 6-8 p.m. at Bolton Funeral Home.

Brynleigh is survived by her mother, Michelle Leigh Carter; father, Dequarius Cortez Welch; brothers, Nathan Carter and Christian Carter; grandparents, Sylvia Carmichael, Jack Carmichael, Steve and Janice Brasher, Lonnie Walker, Steven Mims, Terry Carter and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous other family and friends.
