Coosa Valley Academy racked up 500 yards in total offense as the Rebels rolled to an easy 42-14 win Oct. 8 on the road at Sparta Academy.

Senior John Bullen led the way offensively as he completed 17-of-24 passes for 323 yards and two touchdowns. Bullen also rushed for 115 yards and three touchdowns on 13 carries.

Bullen scored the first touchdown in the game on a 54-yard run in the first quarter. Bullen added a 12-yard touchdown run and a 1-yard touchdown run in the first half.

Ryan Batson scored on a 1-yard run to give Coosa Valley a 28-7 lead heading into the locker room at halftime.

Bullen completed a 15-yard scoring strike to Sam Bullard and an 80-yard touchdown pass to Hunter Winslett in the second half to cap the scoring for the Rebels.

Cody Garrett nailed all six point-after attempts.

Winslett led Coosa Valley with five receptions for 161 yards and a touchdown.

Batson led the way defensively with 16 tackles.

Coosa Valley (4-2 overall, 4-0 in AISA Class 1A, Region 2) will host Sumter Academy in a region contest Oct. 15.
