Whitney Gaut of Wilsonville, daughter of Kenny and Wanda Gaut, has been selected as a 2010-11 Elite Honors Scholar by Jacksonville State University. The Elite Honors Scholarship is the most prestigious scholarship awarded by JSU.

The Elite Honors Scholar has attained a top ACT/SAT score and has maintained an academic 3.5 GPA while in high school. The scholarship includes tuition, housing, meal plan, books and a laptop computer.
