Linda Iris Moore Johnson-Brock went home to be with the Lord Thursday, December 9, 2010. She shared her 66 years with family, friends and clients. Working in the service industry for 50 years as a hairdresser and salon owner, she touched many lives with her outgoing personality, strong work ethic, “servant’s spirit” and compassionate nature.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Nellie Moore; sister, Melba Reid; and brother, Obie “Buddy” Moore. Her beloved survivors are: husband, Bill “Cowboy” Brock; daughter, Dana Johnson; granddaughter, Megan Stubbs; siblings, Reba Sims, Paul Moore, and Elaine Bunn; and a whole host of much loved nieces and nephews and their children. Celebration of life services were held on Monday, December 13, 2010 at Rockco Funeral Home, Montevallo, with Pastor David Rogers officiating. Burial was at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo.
