An Auburn University coaching legend will be making a pre-Christmas visit to Shelby County’s largest city Dec. 21 at 2 p.m.

Former AU football coach Pat Dye will be greeting guests at Aliant Bank next to the Chick-Fil-A restaurant in Alabaster’s Colonial Promenade shopping center.

During the visit, Dye will be selling copies of his children’s book “War Eagle!” and his newest book “What it Means to be a Tiger,” and will autograph copies of the book and other items as time allows.

The event will last until 4 p.m.
