The Calera High School wrestling team defeated Hillcrest in a tri-match Dec. 20 at Brookwood High School.

The Eagles dropped matches against Evangel Christian Academy and host Brookwood.

Six Calera wrestlers won their individual matches in a 36-24 victory over Hillcrest.

The Eagles’ Keenan Agee pinned Josh Powell of Hillcrest in 45 seconds in the 130-pound match. Calera’s Coby Mize pinned Jarred Kyzer of Hillcrest in 2:10 in the 152-pound match.

Alex Culbert, Jarrett Seiger, Austin Dowdy and Cody Thomaston each won their individual matches by forfeit.

Four Eagles won their individual matches in Calera’s 36-24 loss to Evangel Christian. Culbert, Seiger, Mize and Shawn O’Neill each won by forfeit.

Calera fell to host Brookwood 45-24. Four Eagles won their individual matches against Brookwood.

Seiger pinned Boston Yeager of Brookwood in 2:30 in the 119-pound match. Culbert, Thomaston and Jake Thomas each won by forfeit.
