Joyce Marie Hooks Roberson

Joyce Marie Hooks Roberson, age 69, of Montevallo, our mother, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. She was a charter member of Life Church in Pelham. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Visitation was held on Friday, Jan. 14, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at Life Church in Pelham. Funeral Services were held on at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Life Church in Pelham, with Pastor Rick Bishop, Pastor Jerry Bishop and Evangelist Perry Stone officiating. Burial was in Jefferson Memorial in Hoover.

Survivors include her daughters, Sylvia Hooks and Wendy Hooks Tate (Raymond); granddaughters, Kaylee and Karlee Tate; cousins, Zetta Sweeney, Judy Hooks (Lenue) and Norma Carlisle. Also surviving her, a host of other family members and many friends.

Arrangements were under the direction of Charter Funeral Home.
