A Birmingham man was arrested Jan. 27 on outstanding drug-related warrants.
Edwin Dewayne Stitt, 27, was booked into the Shelby County Jail, where he is being held on $3.03 million bond.
Stitt was charged with distribution of a controlled substance and two counts of trafficking drugs. All three charges involve heroin, according to the Shelby County Drug Task Force.
Stitt was taken into custody during a traffic stop on Frontage Road, which is between Valleydale Road and 119, just off 31.
Stitt was pulled over after failing to use a turn signal, according to Lt. Chris George, commander of the drug task force. Stitt had switched tags on his vehicle and did not have a driver’s license or insurance, George said.
