The Vincent High School boys’ basketball team defeated Childersburg 77-61 in high school basketball action Feb. 1.

Anterio Rogers led the Yellow Jackets (21-6) with 19 points. Rogers also finished with three steals and two assists.

Bruce Hamilton added 15 points, 12 rebounds and six assists. Ben McKinney contributed 13 points and four rebounds. Keyon Wallace finished with 11 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and two steals.

Childersburg closed the gap to eight points in the fourth quarter by making six 3-pointers in the second half, but Vincent handled the surge down the stretch.

GIRLS

The Vincent High School girls’ basketball team fell to Childersburg 68-22 in high school basketball action Feb. 1.

Brooklyn Jones led the Yellow Jackets (9-17) with 11 points.

Jones also grabbed six rebounds in the defeat.
