The University of Montevallo announced it will close at 3 p.m. Feb.3 due to inclement weather. Marsha Littleton, senior departmental secretary for public relations, said the closing will affect all classes and events. A decision on tomorrow’s classes and events has not yet been made.

Shelby County Schools announced on their website that all extracurricular activities for Feb. 3 have been canceled. Buses are running, but parents are asked to pick their children up from the school as soon as possible.

Hilltop Montessori has also canceled aftercare activities today.
