Four teams headed to AISA state basketball tournament

Four high school basketball teams from Shelby County advanced to the Alabama Independent Schools Association state tournament.
The Coosa Valley Academy boys’ basketball team advanced to the AISA Class 1A Elite Eight.
The Rebels will face Crenshaw Christian Academy in the AISA Class 1A quarterfinals Feb. 10 at 10:30 a.m. on the Huntingdon College campus in Montgomery.
The Coosa Valley Academy girls’ basketball team will also play in the AISA Class 1A Elite Eight.
The Rebels, who won the AISA Class 1A, Region 2 tournament championship, will meet South Montgomery County Academy in the quarterfinals Feb. 10 at 3 p.m. on the Faulkner University campus in Montgomery.
The Cornerstone Christian School girls’ basketball team will join the Rebels in the AISA Class 1A Elite Eight.
The Chargers will meet Abbeville Christian Academy in the AISA Class 1A quarterfinals Feb. 10 at 9 a.m. on the Huntingdon College campus in Montgomery.
The Kingwood Christian School girls’ basketball team will participate in the AISA Class 3A Elite Eight.
The Lions will face Lee-Scott Academy in the AISA Class 3A quarterfinals Feb. 11 at 9 a.m. on the Huntingdon College campus in Montgomery.
