The Evangel Christian School boys’ basketball team defeated Rock Christian School of Montgomery 70-18 in the Alabama Christian Sports Conference quarterfinals Feb. 9.

Aaron Walker led the Lightning (18-1) with 16 points.

Rodney King added 12 points. DaJon Townson contributed 11 points in the victory.

Evangel, which forced 25 turnovers with its pressure defense, led 44-6 at halftime.

Evangel will play the winner of the Hope Christian and First Assembly Christian game in the semifinals Feb. 11 at Samford University
