Rusty Kendrick of Alabaster passed away Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011, at the age of 65. He was retired from BellSouth.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Cindy Wright Kendrick; sons, Eric Kendrick (Theresa) and Kevin Kendrick (Kristi); stepson, Jason Wright; four grandchildren, Cameron, Braydon, Kaitlyn and Karson Kendrick; mother, Mary Agnes Kendrick; sister, Kathy Waits; parents-in-law, Charles and Betty Wright; brother-in-law, Roy Wright (Susan); and loving, loyal companion Truman the cat.
The family received friends Friday, Feb. 18, 2011, from 6-8 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Alabama 150 in Hoover. A graveside service was held Saturday, Feb. 19, at 11 a.m. in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. Rev. Mike Byars of First Baptist of Church of Alabaster officiated. The family would like to thank the host of medical care professionals at Shelby Baptist Medical Center for the outstanding care they provided Rusty.
