Coosa Valley sweeps doubleheader with Macon-East

The Coosa Valley Academy baseball team swept a doubleheader with Macon-East Montgomery Academy on Feb. 21.
The Rebels defeated Macon-East 8-5 in the opener and picked up a 12-2 win in the nightcap.
John Bullen led Coosa Valley (4-0) at the plate in the opener as he drove in two runs.
Preston Parker also drove in two runs. Taylor Sims added a hit and an RBI. Garrett McMillan and Hunter Winslett finished with one hit each.
Daniel Kennedy (2-0) earned the win on the mound after pitching five innings.
Myles Varner led the Rebels with two hits, including a homerun, and two RBIs in the nightcap.
Hunter Roe finished with two hits. Roe (1-0) also picked up the win on the mound after striking out 10 batters in four innings.
Parker had a double and drove in two runs.
