The Briarwood Christian School softball team defeated Ramsay 15-0 in its season-opening game Feb. 24.

Ashlyn Boyd led the Lions (1-0) at the plate with three hits.

Rachel Walz finished with two hits. Morgan Reed contributed one hit.

Reed picked up the win in the circle after pitching a three-inning no-hitter with eight strikeouts and two walks.

The Lions scored four runs in the first inning, nine runs in the second inning and two runs in the third inning to clinch the victory.
