Coosa Valley splits softball doubleheader with Evangel Christian

The Coosa Valley Academy softball team split a doubleheader with Evangel Christian School of Montgomery in high school softball action March 1.
The Rebels fell to Evangel Christian 12-2 in the opener before rallying for a 7-4 victory in the nightcap.
Hannah Vick led Coosa Valley at the plate in the second game as she finished 2-for-3 with three RBIs. Vick also picked up the win in the circle after striking out six batters in five innings.
Sky Brasher finished 2-for-3 with an inside-the-park home run and two RBIs. Shelby Hurt finished 2-for-4 at the plate.
Katelyn Bierely, the Rebels’ second baseman, led the team in put outs.
