The Kingwood Christian School softball team swept Autauga Academy in a softball doubleheader March 8.

The Lions defeated Autauga Academy 9-1 in the opener.

Whitney Gillespie led Kingwood Christian at the plate as she finished 2-for-2 with three RBIs.

Erin Jones finished with two hits and drove in three runs.

Gillespie picked up the win in the circle after striking out 10 batters in four innings.

Kingwood Christian defeated Autauga Academy 5-0 in the nightcap.

Gillespie finished 3-for-3 with two doubles at the plate. Gillespie drove in three runs and scored two runs.

Kaylyn Ingram, who picked up the win in the circle after striking out eight batters in five innings, finished with an RBI single.
