Briarwood Christian drops tournament game

The Briarwood Christian School baseball team fell to Central-Phenix City 7-5 in the Lake Martin Classic tournament March 16 in Alex City.

Matthew Furuto, Ben Craft and Cole Pearson led the Lions at the plate as each went 2-for-4. Craft also scored a run.

Daniel Robert finished 1-for-4 and scored a run. Logan Crook went 1-for-4 and scored a run. Harrison Foster finished 1-for-4 with a double and scored a run. Micah Hooper went 1-for-4 and scored a run.

Crook gave up two unearned runs on two hits with nine strikeouts and two walks in five innings. Cameron Adams allowed five runs, including one earned run, on four hits with a strikeout and a walk in two innings in relief.
