Briarwood Christian defeats Dadeville in tournament

The Briarwood Christian School baseball team defeated Dadeville 16-9 in its final game at the Lake Martin Classic tournament March 17 in Alex City.

Harrison Foster led the Lions at the plate as he finished 4-for-4 with two doubles. Foster drove in four runs and scored a run in the victory.

Daniel Robert went 3-for-4 with a double and a triple. Robert drove in five runs and scored two runs. Ben Craft finished 2-for-3 with a double and scored five runs.

Dan Thomas went 1-for-1 and scored a run. Robby Hale finished 1-for-2 and drove in two runs. Logan Crook and Cole Pearson drove in one run each.

Crook, Pearson, Thomas, Nathan Fincher, Micah Hooper and Matthew Furuto scored one run each.

Barnes Bankston earned the win after giving up five earned runs on five hits with four strikeouts and two walks in three innings. Ben Craft allowed two hits with four strikeouts and three walks in four innings in relief.
