The Spain Park High School baseball team defeated Pell City 5-1 in high school baseball action March 26.

The Jaguars scored four runs in the bottom of the third inning in the victory.

Paul Angel led Spain Park (23-7) at the plate as he finished 2-for-3 with a triple. Angel drove in one run and scored one run in the win.

Paul Hosemann went 2-for-3 and scored a run. Alex Close, who drove in three runs and scored one run, finished 1-for-3 with a home run.

Marks Abernathy and Charlie McPherson finished 1-for-3 each. Nathan Brock went 1-for-3 and scored a run. Mikey White drove in a run and scored a run.

Austin Veteto (1-0) earned the win on the mound after giving up only one earned run on seven hits with three strikeouts and a walk in a complete game.
