The Spain Park High School baseball team fell to Homewood 5-4 in a Class 6A, Area 12 contest March 29.

Paul Angel led the Jaguars at the plate as he finished 2-for-3 with a double. Angel scored one run in the defeat.

Alex Close finished 2-for-4 and drove in two runs. Chris Ellis went 1-for-3 and drove in one run. Carter White finished 1-for-2 and scored one run. Paul Hosemann finished 1-for-3 and scored one run. Mikey White finished 1-for-3 and scored one run.

Mikey White took the loss on the mound after giving up three earned runs on seven hits with two strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings.

Colton Freeman struck out three batters and issued one walks in 1 1/3 innings in relief.
