The Coosa Valley Academy softball team suffered a heartbreaking loss to Chambers Academy 7-6 in area play April 1.

Chambers led early before the Rebels rallied late in the game to take a 6-3 lead.

Alyssa Holmes and Hannah Vick had doubles early in the game and were left on base.

Kaylan Rich got a double and drove in two runs. Hope Myrick hit a double and stole home to tie the game at 3-3. Amelia Ripley added a double. Katelyn Bierely also had a double and drove in two runs.

Hannah Vick went the distance in the circle with six strikeouts.
