The Montevallo High School baseball team defeated Greensboro in Class 3A, Area 7 doubleheader April 5.

The Bulldogs defeated Greensboro 9-4 in the opener.

Eric Smith led Montevallo at the plate as he finished 1-for-3 with three stolen bases.

David Shirah went 1-for-3 at the plate and had one stolen base. Montevallo finished with nine stolen bases in the victory.

Chase Hamrick earned the win on the mound after giving up one earned run on three hits with 10 strikeouts in a complete game.

Montevallo defeated Greensboro 9-6 in the nightcap.

Hamrick led the Bulldogs at the plate as he finished 2-for-4 with a triple and a double. Hamrick drove in two runs and scored one run in the victory.

Ethan Staab finished 2-for-4 with two doubles and a run scored. Taylor Burr went 2-for-4 with a triple and a run scored. Patrick Baugh finished 2-for-4 and scored a run.

Baugh earned the win on the mound after giving up three earned runs on five hits with five strikeouts in six innings.
