HOOVER — Jefferson State Community College will host a fish fry and silent auction April 16 at the Shelby/Hoover campus on Valleydale Road.

The auction will begin at 4 p.m., while the fish fry starts at 4:30 p.m.

Tickets to the event are $15. The fish fry will include battered tilapia and trout, cole slaw, baked potatoes and fries, a sundae bar, funnel cakes and tea and lemonade to drink.

Each ticket will be automatically entered into a drawing to win a free one-night stay and breakfast at the Renaissance Ross Bridge Hotel.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Hannah Home and the American Culinary Federation Apprenticeship.
