The Chelsea High School boys’ tennis team defeated Talladega 5-4 in high school tennis action April 7.

The Hornets won three singles’ matches and two doubles’ matches against Talladega.

Andrew Ling of Chelsea won the No. 2 singles’ match 8-4. Alex Gamble of Chelsea won the No. 3 singles’ match 8-2. Corey Foshee of Chelsea won the No. 4 singles’ match 8-6.

Gamble and Foshee defeated Pyles and Christian 8-1 in the No. 2 doubles’ match. Chelsea won the No. 3 doubles’ match by forfeit.

GIRLS

The Chelsea High School girls’ tennis team swept Talladega 9-0 in high school tennis action April 7.

The Hornets swept all six singles’ matches and all three doubles’ matches.

Kaylee Dismuke of Chelsea won the No. 1 singles’ match 8-1. Lindsay Kate Glausier won the No. 2 singles’ match 8-2. Shannon Reilly won the No. 3 singles’ match 8-0.

Natalie Foster won the No. 4 singles’ match 8-1. Audrey Vickers won the No. 4 singles’ match 8-1. Chelsea won the No. 6 singles’ match by forfeit.

Dismuke and Reilly won the No. 1 doubles’ match 8-1. Glausier and Vickers won the No. 2 doubles’ match. Chelsea won the No. 3 doubles’ match.
