North Shelby County is under a tornado warning until 8 p.m. April 11.

At 7:17, the National Weather Service indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado and moving east at 40 mph.

This thunderstorm may impact Hoover, Pelham, Chelsea and other parts of North Shelby County.

The National Weather Service advised those in the impacted regions to take cover immediately by moving to an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building.
