Briarwood Christian drops tennis match against Cullman

The Briarwood Christian School boys’ tennis team fell to Cullman 7-2 in high school tennis action April 14.
The Lions won two singles’ matches against Cullman.
Griffin Russell of Briarwood Christian defeated Andrew Horn of Cullman 6-3, 6-4 in the No. 2 singles’ match. Russell Hancock of Briarwood Christian defeated Clint Watson of Cullman 3-6, 7-6, 10-6 in the No. 4 singles’ match.
Briarwood Christian lost one singles’ match and one doubles’ match in a tie-breaking set.
Philip Taylor of Briarwood Christian fell to Rob Hood of Cullman 6-2, 4-6, 10-4 in the No. 5 singles’ match. Taylor and Devin Bowman of Briarwood Christian fell to Wood Nesbit and Jack Baker 6-2, 2-6, 10-2 in the No. 3 doubles’ match.
GIRLS

The Lions won one singles’ match against Cullman and dropped one doubles’ match in a tie-breaking set.
Olivia Odom of Briarwood Christian defeated Bailey Baker of Cullman 7-5, 6-2 in the No. 5 singles’ match. Odom and Holly Brazeal of Briarwood Christian fell to Barker and Katie Sharpton of Culman 5-7, 6-2, 10-4 in the No. 2 doubles’ match.
