The Calera High School softball team defeated Fultondale 3-0 in high school softball action April 14.

The Eagles scored one run in the first inning, one run in the third inning and one run in the seventh inning in the victory.

Hayley Merritt led Calera (6-10) as she finished 2-for-3 at the plate. Merritt scored two runs in the victory.

Shelby Clark, who drove in one run and scored one run, finished 2-for-3 at the plate. Jocelyn Davis went 1-for-3 at the plate with a double. Skyler Laird went 1-for-2 at the plate and drove in a run.

Katie Eiland earned the win in the circle after giving up five hits with two strikeouts and three walks in a complete-game shutout.
