Hazel G. Kendrick, age 89, a resident of Sterrett, died on Tuesday, April 12, 2011. Funeral service will be at noon, Saturday, April 16, 2011, at New Life Assembly of God with Rev. David Wooten officiating. Burial will follow in K-Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m.-noon prior to the service at the church.

For 31 years, Mrs. Kendrick was a makeup studio owner for Merle Norman Cosmetics. She was an excellent seamstress, cook and gardener. She was the best wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, mother-in-law and friend that anyone could ever ask for. Our hearts are heavy, and she will be truly missed by everyone, but she is dancing in heaven now and in the arms of her loving husband and sons.

Mrs. Kendrick is preceded in death by her husband, Elra Franklin Kendrick, and two sons, Eugene Franklin Kendrick and Allen Romell Kendrick. Mrs. Kendrick is survived by her granddaughter, Aleshia Ricole Kendrick; grandson, Allen Franklin Kendrick; sister, Sarah Yvonne Dillinger; daughter-in-law, Teresia B. Kendrick. She also left behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
