The Briarwood Christian School softball team edged Sylacauga 4-2 in a Class 5A, Area 7 contest April 19.

Sara Kate Bracewell led the Lions (6-7 overall, 3-3 in Class 5A, Area 7) at the plate as she finished 2-for-3 with a home run and a triple.

Ashlyn Boyd went 2-for-3 at the plate with a triple and scored one run. Savannah Kolb finished 2-for-4 at the plate with a double. Abbey Muir finished 2-for-3 at the plate.

Linley Splawn earned the win in the circle after giving up two unearned runs on two hits with five strikeouts and seven walks in a complete game.
